Improving Numerical Accuracy in Time-Domain Simulation for Power Electronics Circuits

چکیده

In time-domain simulations of power system transients, trapezoidal integration with fixed step-size is the most common method due to its accuracy and ease implementation. Discontinuities occurring within time-step when simulating electronics circuits, may cause numerical oscillations errors. Several methods are available in literature for interpolation handling discontinuities. This paper intends analyze how affected by existing techniques discontinuities based on method. New algorithms proposed improve accuracy.
